The National Medical Admission Test is a mandatory test required for Indian students and others to study medicine in the Philippines. The exam is conducted by Center for Educational Measurement twice a year and candidates can choose their preferred slot. The NMAT medical entrance exam is scheduled from 5 November, 2025 to 20 December, 2025. The online registration for the 2025-26 session will begin from 1 August, 2025. Candidates can simply regis ter from the online website of CEM.  To be eligible, candidates must have completed their primary medical education from a recognized institution and must meet the admission criteria set by medical universities in the Philippines.

About NMAT 2025 Exam

The National Medical Admission Test 2025 is conducted by the Center for Educational Measurement in the Philippines for students aspiring to pursue medical education in the country. The online registration for the 2025-26 session is expected to start from 1 August, 2025, with the deadline set for 10 October, 2025. The NMAT 2025 is scheduled from 5 November, 2025 to 20 December, 2025.  Students can easily register online by visiting the official NMAT website.

The NMAT Exam is conducted for 3 hours and is divided into two parts: Part 1 evaluates mental ability and academic proficiency, while Part 2 assesses biological and physical sciences. The exam is conducted in a computer-based format with multiple-choice questions. The application fee for NMAT exam is PHP 1900/INR 2931 for all the students.

NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Maximum Attempts: Candidates can attempt NMAT three times, including retakes.

Candidates need to check their eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Below is detailed explanation of the eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized institution.
  • Non-English speaking candidates must provide TOEFL or IELTS scores.
  • Apart from this, candidates have to pass their specific criteria set by the medical universities of Philippines 

NMAT 2025 Application Form

The NMAT application form will be available soon on their official website - www.cem-inc.org.ph . Candidates can access the application form from 1 August, 2025 and the last date to fill the application form is 10 October, 2025. The NMAT medical exam will be conducted from 5 November, 2025 to 20 December, 2025. Applicants also have advantage to retake registration from 6 November, 2025 to 17 December, 2025. The scorecard is released after 20 business days after the exam. 

Candidates must fill out the application form with their personal, academic, and contact details and need to upload required documents. Candidates need to pay an application fee of INR 2931 through various payment methods such as Debit/Credit/UPI/Net Banking.

Step 2: Create an Account using a valid email ID and again login up your login credentials.

Step 3: Fill Out the Application Form by filling your personal details, academic qualifications, and contact information.

Step 4: Now upload Required Documents like passport-size photo, signature, and valid ID proof.

Step 5: Choose your preferred test date and exam center.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee and submit the application form.

NMAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The NMAT Medical Exam is a computer-based test designed to assess candidates' readiness for medical education in the Philippines. NMAT 2025 Syllabus

The NMAT (National Medical Admission Test) for the Philippines is a two-part exam designed to assess both mental ability and academic proficiency relevant to medical studies.

Part I: Mental Ability

This section consists of four subtests:

  • Verbal:
    • Word analogies
    • Reading comprehension (topics from social, scientific, medical, philosophical, literary sources)
    • Measures verbal reasoning and analytical abilities.
  • Inductive Reasoning:
    • Number, letter, and figural series
    • Figure grouping
    • Tests the ability to perceive relationships and draw logical conclusions in the absence of complete information.
  • Quantitative:
    • Fundamental operations (direct computation)
    • Problem-solving
    • Data interpretation
    • Assesses reasoning and application of basic mathematics.
  • Perceptual Acuity:
    • Hidden figure
    • Mirror image
    • Identical information
    • Visual recognition tasks require focus on relevant details and visualization.

Part II: Academic Proficiency

This section includes four subtests, covering subjects required in premedical courses:

Biology: Cell structure and function, genetics, plant and animal tissues, organ systems (circulatory, nervous, digestive, immune, endocrine), reproduction, ecology, cell division, and respiration.

Physics: Mechanics, sound, light, gravitation, motion (linear, circular, projectile), vectors, thermodynamics, waves, electromagnetics, circuits, optics, fluids, friction, and nuclear physics.

Chemistry: Organic chemistry basics, kinetics, gases and gas laws, hybridization, chemical bonds, acids and bases, equilibrium, concentration, radioactivity, periodic table, thermodynamics, solutions, and biological compounds (DNA, RNA, proteins, fats).

Social Science: Psychology, sociology, anthropology, and other topics relevant to understanding human behavior and society.

NMAT 2025 Admit Card

The NMAT admit card will be released as soon as the registrations are closed, approximately in October, 2025. The admit card contains crucial information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, date, and time. It is mandatory for students to carry the admit card and a valid photo ID to the examination center.

Documents Required for NMAT 2025 Examination

Candidates need to carry out 2 printouts of the admit card and a valid ID proof along with them. These both documents are crucial for the day of examination as it serves as identity proof.

NMAT 2025 Exam Results

The NMAT Medical 2025 exam results will be available after 20 business days after the test date. Candidates can check their scores on the official NMAT website by logging in with their credentials. The scorecard will display scaled scores for each section and the final NMAT percentile. Afterwards, universities review NMAT scores and shortlist candidates for further evaluation or interviews. Some institutions may conduct counseling sessions or additional assessments before confirming admission.

NMAT 2025 Cut-Offs

The NMAT Medical exam has a general minimum passing percentile of 40%, which is required to be eligible for admission to medical schools in the Philippines. However, many medical schools set higher cut-off percentiles based on their admission standards and competitiveness.
