Cut off marks are influenced by various factors like the difficulty level of the exam, number of students appearing, and number of available seats. As per the previous records, cut off for general category students is usually 50%, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40%. Students qualifying the cutoff are allowed to take part in the counselling process. 

NEET PG Result Date 2025

The National Board of Examinations is expected to announce NEET PG 2025 result on 3 September 2025*. Students who appeared for the exam can access their results using their registration ID and password. The result will be available in a PDF merit list format and a scorecard, showing marks out of 800 and All India Rank. 

Students meeting the minimum qualifying percentile, will be eligible for the counselling process. Looking at the previous percentiles, the qualifying marks are expected to be 50% for general and 40% for reserved category students.

NEET PG Counselling Dates 2025 

Counselling process for NEET PG 2025 is expected to begin from 25 September 2025, after the results are announced. The process will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee for 50% All India Quota seats, central universities, and deemed institutes. State counselling for the remaining 50% seats is managed separately by each state. 

The counselling process is conducted in four rounds namely, Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy round. Candidates need to register themselves on the MCC website, fill in their choices, and upload necessary documents. Students are advised to keep their documents ready and follow the official schedule as issued by the institute.
