About NEET 2025 Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) began NEET 2025 registrations on 7 February 2025, and the last date to apply was March 7, 2025. The NEET 2025 exam was scheduled for 4 May 2025 and will be held offline (pen-and-paper mode) in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must register online at neet.nta.nic.in.
The application fee is INR 1,700 for General/NRI candidates, INR 1,600 for General-EWS/OBC, and INR 1,000 for SC/ST/PwD. Payment can be made online through debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking.
The NEET Exam is required for admission to undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS, and BAMS across India. To be eligible, candidates must be at least 17 years old and have completed or are appearing for Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
The exam consists of 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) to be completed in 3 hours. Each correct answer scores +4 marks, while each wrong answer deducts one mark. There are no optional questions this year, and the paper is available in 13 languages.

NEET Exam Pattern 2025
The NEET 2025 exam will be held offline in pen-and-paper mode for 3 hours. It will have 180 multiple-choice questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
Unlike previous years, when there were 200 questions with 20 optional ones, this year all 180 questions are compulsory with no optional choices. This change means candidates must answer every question within the allotted time. This pattern returns to the pre-COVID format with a shorter duration and no sectional divisions

It covers Diversity of Living Organisms, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and Its Applications, and Ecology and Environment.
