MCAT 2025 Syllabus

The MCAT 2025 exam covers a broad range of subjects essential for medical education, testing both your scientific knowledge and critical thinking abilities. The syllabus is designed to evaluate your understanding of biological, chemical, physical, psychological, and social sciences, as well as your ability to analyze complex information. Each section targets specific foundational concepts that are crucial for success in medical school and future clinical practice.

  1. Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems:
This section tests your knowledge in biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and general chemistry. It focuses on understanding the processes unique to living organisms and how biochemical and molecular biology concepts apply to living systems.

  2. Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems:
This part covers general chemistry, physics, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and some biology. It emphasizes the physical and chemical principles that underlie biological functions and how these concepts relate to living organisms.

  3. Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior:
This section assesses your understanding of psychology, sociology, and biology. It focuses on behavioral and social determinants of health, human development, and how psychological and social factors influence health and behavior.

  4. Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS):
Unlike the other sections, CARS does not require specific scientific knowledge. Instead, it evaluates your ability to comprehend, analyze, and reason through passages drawn from social sciences and humanities.

MCAT 2025 Admit Card

The MCAT does not issue an admit card or hall ticket. After registering and paying the fee, candidates receive a confirmation email from the AAMC with their test date, time, and center details. Candidates must carry a valid ID proof to the test center on the day of examination as it serves as many identity proof. There is no separate admit card to download or print, the confirmation email and your ID are sufficient for verification and entry.

On the release date, scores are published by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The score report includes section-wise scores, total score, and percentile rank.

The MCAT 2025 results will include five separate scores and four individual section scores and one overall composite score. Each section of the MCAT 2025 exam is graded on a scale ranging from 118 to 132. The total score, which combines all four section scores, is measured on a scale from 472 to 528.

MCAT Cut-Offs 2025-26

The MCAT does not provide official cut-off scores for admission. Unlike exams such as NEET, where a central authority releases category-wise cut-offs, the MCAT is a standardized test whose scores are used by individual medical schools as part of their admissions process. Each medical school sets its own minimum or average MCAT score requirements, which can vary widely. Candidates can easily access the cut-offs by visiting the Collegehai website or other third party websites.
